Technical Seller (m-w-d) in Querétaro (Mexico)

The company group consists of the parent company in Germany, subsidiaries as well as sales and service centers worldwide and is present in all major markets with a workforce of more than one thousand employees. As part of our growth and expansion, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position for our affiliated company to be established in Mexico.


Technical Seller (m-w-d) in Querétaro (Mexico)



  • Responsible for the sales area of Mexico for new machines, spare parts, modernization, upgrading ...
    • Proactive support for existing customers
    • Qualified sales market analysis and evaluation of the results
    • Acquisition of new customers
  • Handling of customer enquiries
    • Check plausibility and feasibility of specifications in coordination with the head office in Schwabach, Germany
    • Needs analysis
    • Development of proposals for possible solutions from the Niehoff product portfolio
  • Preparation and follow-up of quotations including ensuring the necessary documentation and exchange of information in coordination with the head office in Schwabach, Germany
  • Conduct of sales negotiations for standard products in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures
  • Checking purchase contracts, orders and order confirmations, taking appropriate action in the event of discrepancies in consultation with the head office in Schwabach, Germany
  • Initiating and monitoring internal order deadlines, including the preparation and maintenance of the necessary documentation
  • Provision of materials from the customer for the test runs, e.g. spools, drawing dies
  • Provide technical advice to customers
  • Planning the installation of the machine at the customer's site and coordinating the preparation, updating and provision of the required documentation
  • Customer support, e.g. at trade fairs and machine acceptance tests at the headquarters in Schwabach, Germany
  • Initiation and support of customer trials in coordination with the head office in Schwabach, Germany
  • Reception and internal coordination of complaints
  • Participation in the determination, preparation and provision of data (e.g. lost orders, annual planning)
  • Key account management

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum B.S. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related technical discipline
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing and project / process engineering in the wire and cable industry
  • Strong analytical skills and clear, proven ability to research, organize, develop and present a variety of content to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of solution selling and the ability to package and articulate the business value of a solution
  • Strong sense of initiative and perseverance
  • Proven ability to understand all aspects of how the product works and how to position the product
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working and highly productive
  • Experienced in managing and delivering on time against multiple priorities
  • High level of travel readiness
