Vocational training and study

NIEHOFF – we know what counts when it comes to vocational training 

On average, there are more than 40 young people doing their vocational training each year at NIEHOFF Schwabach. Since we place a high priority on ensuring that they have the best possible preparation for their vocations, these young people have been going to commercial and technical training institutions to receive both theoretical and practical training ever since 1958. Many of our former trainees still work for the company so many decades on, and for all of them NIEHOFF has become a second family.

NIEHOFF offers the following trainee positions:

 

Headquarter Schwabach


Industrial Mechanic


For ensuring that machines and production facilities run smoothly. During your training you will learn how the components and spare parts of machines are manufactured and installed. As a qualified industrial mechanic you will subsequently be responsible for the starting up, maintenance and repair of facilities. And that means for our customers all over the world!

Mechatronics Technician


A modern machine or production line is a complex system comprised of mechanical, electrical and electronic components and controller software and information technology. The innovative interaction of these individual technical disciplines is a key mark of quality for NIEHOFF machines. During your training to become a mechatronics technician you will learn how to make, install, maintain and repair mechatronic systems.

Milling Machinist


During your training you will first learn the most important processes such as turning, drilling, sawing and milling. Later the milling machinist makes the components and spare parts for machines on computer-controlled machining centers and is responsible for the programming of these machines, known as CNC machines, and for the measurement of the parts

Industrial Business Management Assistant


During your training you will become familiar with all the commercial departments at NIEHOFF. Depending on your particular aptitudes you can then work as a general assistant in either Purchasing, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing or Accounts.

Plant Leuterschach


Elektroniker für Automatisierungstechnik
Die beste Maschine funktioniert nicht ohne die dazu gehörende Schaltanlage. Diese werden in unserem Zweigwerk in Leuterschach entwickelt und hergestellt. Dafür bilden wir an unserem Standort in Leuterschach den Beruf Elektroniker für Automatisierungstechnik aus. Elektroniker für Automatisierungstechnik montieren, prüfen und programmieren die SPS Systeme und Antriebstechnik in unseren Schaltanlagen. Sie nehmen die Elektrik der Maschinen in Betrieb und halten sie instand.

Industrieelektriker (m/w/d) Geräte und Systeme


Industrieelektriker Geräte und Systeme befassen sich mit der Montage, Inbetriebnahme, Wartung, Prüfung und Reparatur elektronischer Komponenten und Systeme. Zu ihren Aufgaben zählen vor allem das Montieren von Bauteilen und Baugruppen, Leiterplattenbestückung sowie Dokumentation und Protokollierung technischer Daten.

That's how you find out where your talents and aptitudes lie  

You will soon be finishing school and are probably starting to think about what kind of vocation you wish to take up. A work experience placement or “get-acquainted” training at NIEHOFF gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your own particular talents and aptitudes. If you have a technical orientation, you can choose from three different vocational training options . We also offer vocation training places for training to become an industrial business management assistant.

It is advisable to apply early, specifying the vocational training you are interested in and when you would ideally like to do it. Please send your application to us by post or Email along with your Curriculum Vitae and a copy of your last school report certificate.

If you have nearly finished school and are still not exactly sure which particular trainee position to take up, that is hardly surprising given the wide range of potential careers available. At NIEHOFF alone you can choose between four different vocational training options. To enable you to get an idea of what you would be learning as a budding industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, milling machinist or industrial business management assistant, and the type of work you would be responsible for later in your job, we offer you the opportunity to do a “get-acquainted” training placement with us.

Promotion of young people is a top priority 


For students from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or management sciences, work experience internships are available at NIEHOFF. We will also gladly supervise your bachelor degree thesis or masters thesis.

 

Trainee program

As a trainee in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or management sciences, find out more about the opportunities we offer you. It starts with a trainee program of approximately 12 months in a wide range of departments at the company. As part of the trainee program you will also be entrusted with a set project. This “learning by doing” program is rounded off with practice-oriented seminars. On successful completion of the development of your technical expertise and personal aptitudes, a qualified position in the field of engineering is open to you.
